Do you have a restaurant at your guest house?

Although we don’t have a restaurant where you can order from an Ala Carte Menu, we serve a two-course dinner almost every evening at our guest house.
Unfortunately, we no longer open our dining area and therefore dinner is always served as room service.

What do you serve for dinner?

We prepare a 2-course set menu every evening. The menu consists of a main course and a dessert. We inform our guests about the daily menu via email or WhatsApp in the morning. Then they can place their order before noon (12:00) latest (If requested, we can also advise you about the dinner menu the night before).

What time is the dinner service at By Bush Telegraph Lodge?

Our dinner service starts at 19:00 every evening. You have the option to choose between having your dinner in our dining room, bar or as room service.

How much does your dinner cost?

Our 2-course dinner is R180. But you can also choose to have the main course only for R150.
Dinner price is usually not part of the room deposits, so can cancel your dinner until 15:00 free of charge. However, if you cancel your dinner after such time, we may have to charge you the full price (depending on the dish).

Do you serve lunch at your lodge?

Yes. We can cater for lunch requests. Often, we serve lunch for small corporate groups and individual corporate guests as a takeaway.

What do you serve for lunch at your guest house?

We can serve 3-types of lunch, depending on your budget.
– 2-course lunch
– 1-course lunch
– Light lunch (Sandwich type)

Our 2-course lunch consists of a main course and dessert. Same as with our dinner, it is a set menu.

It is the main course-only lunch option. However, you still get an ample-sized cooked meal.

The light lunch option is usually a sandwich or salad-type meal served with chips/crisps. For example:
– Toasted Ham, Cheese & Tomato sandwich
– Toasted Tuna Melt
– Greek Chicken Salad in Pita Pocket
– Etc.

Do you cater for special diets?

Yes. We do cater for special dietary requirements. However, we require a minimum of 24-hour notice to make the necessary preparations to accommodate such requests.

We can cater for the following diets:
– Vegetarian
– Vegan
– Non-strict Halal (as we don’t have a Halaal certified kitchen, but we can use specially allocated kitchen equipment to prepare these meals)
– Banting
– Gluten intolerant
– Lactose intolerant
– Low-sodium
– Low-carb
– Low-spice
– No added sugar

Do you have a bar at your guest house?

Yes. We operate a service bar at BBT Lodge, which has an ample selection of local beverages for our guests who wish to refresh themselves during their stay. Although you may still order from our online beverage list, we no longer open the bar for the public to sit in.

What time does your bar open?

You can usually order from our beverage list between the hours of 16:00 and 20:00. However, if there is a high demand for bar service, we may extend the closing time. Whereas, if we don’t have dinners or other previous arrangements, we may stop the service without further notice.

Do you serve cocktails at your bar?

We only serve a limited number of cocktails, because our bar doesn’t have the equipment to facilitate complicated or “fancy” cocktails at this stage.
