Is there free WiFi in By Bush Telegraph Lodge?

As part of our complimentary guest services, we offer a free, 10 MB/s optical fibre wireless internet connection throughout our guest house. We found that the service is quite reliable with minor downtime.
Please be advised that since this is a complimentary service, we take no liability for any interruptions in the connection. Test.

Swimming pool-related questions


Is there a swimming pool at your guest house?

We have got a rather large swimming pool at our guest house, which is available 24/7. It is not a heated pool and therefore, it is the most ideal to use during summer. We strongly advise parents to look after their children when they are using the swimming pool, as it is up to 2.5 meters deep on the one side.

Can I use your swimming pool for the day?

You may use our swimming pool only (without booking accommodation) and surrounding facilities with the following conditions.

Pricing for the day use of the pool

A booking at least 24 hours before and a 50% deposit payment is required to secure your reservation.

  • R150 for adults
  • R100 for children between the ages of 3 – 14 years
  • Free for children under the age of 3 years

What we provide

  • Sunloungers & sun chairs
  • Pool towels
  • Free WiFi
  • Bathrooms (toilets)

Terms & Conditions for the day use of the pool

  • You can only use the pool between 12:00 – 17:00
  • No music allowed
  • No parties allowed (Maximum amount of people is: 20 PAX including children)
  • No Braai
  • There may be a surcharge or any breakages, cleaning or any damages you caused
  • You are using our swimming pool at your own risk.
  • You must attend your children at all times. By Bush Telegraph Lodge or any of its staff members will take NO responsibility for any injuries or death that may occur during the usage of our pool or any other facilities.

Is parking part of your free guest services at BBT Lodge?

Yes. We have free, secure, on-site parking available for our guests. Unfortunately, this is not a covered parking space at this stage.

Can trucks park at you place?

We have ample parking space. Therefore, we can accommodate trucks up to 10 meters long to park at our property.

Do you have parking suitable for motorbikes?

Although this is not something we specialize in, we do have a parking area that can accommodate up to 4 motorcycles.

Do you offer a laundry service?

We offer a full laundry service to our guests. We do the washing, drying and ironing in-house.

How does your laundry work?

When you’d like us to do your laundry during your stay, all you need to do is fill out the Laundry Form that you can access via our in-house website. After you submitted the request, we’ll be notified by our system. We aim to return your clean clothes on the same day afternoon, but this also depends on the time you hand in your laundry and the weather conditions.

Can you do dry-cleaning?

We don’t have dry-cleaning facilities. Therefore, we send very delicate clothing to the nearest dry-cleaning store. We’ll advise you about the fees before-hand, so you can decide whether to go ahead with the service or not.

Do you have Spa facilities?

Unfortunately, we don’t have Spa facilities at our premises. Even so, we are affiliating with a mobile Spa company called Mimosa Oak.
They offer a wide variety of treatments such as Swedish-, Aromatherapy -, Hot Stone massage, manicure and pedicure but to name a few.

What is Romantic Turndown?

Our Romantic Turndown is a type of service that turns our room setup into a more enticing one with an intimate atmosphere for couples’ private getaways.

What does this turndown include?

Our Romantic Turndown is as follows:

  1. We place two swans forming a heart shape folded from towels on the bed.
  2. Additionally, we also arrange a heart shape made of rose petals on the bed.
  3. Furthermore, we scatter the rest of the rose petals across the bed and room.
  4. Lastly, we set a bottle of sparkling wine in an ice bucket along with some chocolate dessert on the table right before your arrival.

Can I change/take out the sparkling wine in the Romantic Turndown?

Yes. You can order this turndown without sparkling wine. You may also change the sparkling wine or change it to a beverage of your choice. We’ll recalculate the package price and advise you accordingly.

Here are some examples:

  • No bubbly
  • Another kind of sparkling wine
  • Wine or other beverage instead

What is the latest I need to confirm this turndown?

We need you to confirm your turndown no later than 24 hours before arrival. Unfortunately, we can’t accept last-minute bookings for this service.

Do I need to pay a deposit for the turndown?

Yes. We usually require that you pay a 50% deposit for this service.

If I cancel my reservation, do I get a refund on the turndown?

If we haven’t purchased the items needed for the turndown yet, then we can fully refund your deposit.
However, if we already bought the necessary items, we will only be able to do a partial refund due to the perishables.

Is there a Gym at your guest house?

Unfortunately, we don’t have Gym facilities at our guest house yet. Nevertheless, we are seeking to build a business relationship with a Gym close to our accommodation. For further updates on this topic, please get in touch with our team.

Is By Bush Telegraph Lodge a wheelchair accessible establishment?

Regrettably, our lodge is not wheelchair accessible. Sadly, due to our unique architecture style, we were unable to accommodate such facilities.
